Emergency Medicine Medical Director
Job Description
STATUS is seeking an experienced emergency medicine physician to lead our emergency department team as the medical director at Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City, Iowa.
Position Highlights
- Annual ED Volume: 5,022 patients
- Average Daily Volume: 14 patients
- Critical Access Hospital; Level IV trauma center
- Single physician coverage
- EMR: Meditech
- Max Shift Length: 24 hours
- Monthly Stipend: $200 an hour up to $1,500 a month
- 1099 independent contractor
Facility Highlights
Floyd County Medical Center is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Charles City, Iowa. The hospital was built in 1965, with a major addition in 1990 and remodeled in 2008. FCMC strives to provide high-quality and safe care to its patients, with respect and consideration to their families.

Job Requirements
- Board certified or eligible in EM, FM, or IM
- ATLS, ACLS, NRP, & PALS
- Previous EM experience required
- 3rd year residents accepted
